Three steps that unblock procurement

Most DPP stalls between EU buyers and Chinese suppliers come down to the same three gaps: unclear responsibility, no field-level status, no shared format.

Step 1

Confirm the duty chain

Battery category, capacity, who first places on the EU market — a 5-minute triage that settles who creates the passport, who registers, and whether a QSeal is needed.

Step 2

Generate the gap checklist

Mark 34 core fields as missing / have / requested / unsure / n-a, then export a task list and a paste-ready buyer-facing email. Answers never leave your browser.

Step 3

Send the bilingual pack

A supplier request pack with English filing sheets and Chinese instructions — forward it to several Chinese factories as-is. Field IDs match our tools.

Why this is now

18 Feb 2027 is statutory

Regulation (EU) 2023/1542: from 18 February 2027, EV, LMT and industrial (>2kWh) batteries placed on the EU market or put into service must carry a digital passport registered in the EU registry. Customs verifies the registration identifier.

Europe is the #1 market for Chinese power batteries

Europe took 42.1% of China's power battery exports in 2025 (up from 14.9% in 2020). Supply without passports after the deadline faces a market-access break — plan supplier readiness now.

The registry is live

The EU DPP registry went live on 20 July 2026. Organisation validation for legal persons requires an eIDAS qualified seal (QSeal) under the current user guide — lead time is measured in weeks.
